Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Afrah Al-Zuba, arrived in Istanbul today on an official visit to the friendly Republic of Turkey. She is carrying a written message from His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, to his brother, His Excellency President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the sisterly Republic of Turkey.

During her visit, the Minister is scheduled to meet with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan to discuss Yemeni-Turkish relations and ways to enhance them in various fields. They will also exchange views on current developments in Yemen and the region, and strengthen coordination on issues of common interest, in a manner that serves the mutual interests of the two countries and their brotherly peoples.

Upon her arrival, the Minister was received by the Director of the Middle East Department at the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ahmet Rıza Demirer, the Yemeni Ambassador to Turkey, Mohammed Saleh Tariq, and the Honorary Consul in Istanbul, Mohammed Al-Mashhari.
